Baba Yaga (pl Baba Jaga) is a witch from Polish and Slavic folklore. In a legend two children lost in the forest – Jaś and Małgosia – came to her house. The story about their stay at Baba Jaga’s is considered to be mataphor of initiation and growing up.

Lalka Baba Jaga jest aluzją do dzisiejszego odradzania się wiedźmiarstwa i zainteresowania magią i pogaństwem wśród kobiet z miejskiej klasy średniej. Stąd jej dress code, nietypowy dla tradycyjnej Baby Jagi, ale typowy dla współczesnej mieszkanki miasta.
